Earn A FREE Upgrade To The Next Version
We are always looking for useful decks to add to the User Group Library.
These files are also included on our CD-ROMs. If we use your file, you'll
be credited in the description of the file (unless you wish to remain anonymous)
and we'll also say "Thank You" by giving you a free upgrade to the next release
of your version of WinFlash when it ships.
What Kind Of Decks Do We Want?
What types of files are we interested in? Virtually anything that at least
one other person might find useful. We don't post anything that's "adult
content" or violence-oriented in nature, but just about anything else is
a legitimate candidate. Please be sure that the spelling has been checked
and that the deck runs through from start to finish with no "missing pictures"
or other errors before submitting.
We'll let you know right away that we've received your submission. Within
a week we'll review the deck for its suitability for inclusion in the
library and let you know when it's online!
How To Get Us Your Decks
There are two methods to submit your deck for inclusion in the library:
1. If you have WinFlash Educator, simply create a .flz (Compiled Study
File) of your deck and attach this file to an e-mail to our support address
here.
Be sure to include your name and address in your e-mail so that we can apply
the proper credit for the upgrade to our database. Please attach a readme.txt
file (or include the contents for this file in the body of the message) that
gives a brief description of the deck and its purpose. Also please let us
know how you'd like the credit to read. We generally use something
on the order of the example below for the library entry:
This file contains about
110 questions directed at fluid management and post operative care of patients.
There is a sprinkling of straight basic science where appropriate. Compiled
and contributed by Dr. Robert W. Tahara
2. If you are using WF Basic or WF Scholar and your deck is simply text (no
pictures, sound or .rtf support files) just attach the source file (the one
with the .fls extension) to an e-mail as in the description above. You
can include the description for the readme.txt file in the body of the e-mail
message or attach it as a second file to the message.
If your deck is more complex and you have the ability to create .zip archive
files, follow the steps below:
a. Create a fresh directory to temporarily hold the files for this process
b. Copy all files associated with the deck into this single directory. If
your deck is called myflashcards, you would include myflashcards.fls and
myflashcards.fld in this directory as well as any sound and graphics files
that you've used in creating your deck.
c. Create the readme.txt file as described in 1. in this directory as well.
d. Zip all of these files into an archive with the name of the deck (in this
example, myflashcards.zip) and attach to an e-mail as in the description
above.
